ACTIVITIES & SERVICES
Our activities complement the service of stay in response to the needs of our guests but without distancing yourself from those are the susceptibility of the rural context and natural.
Farm restaurant
In the farm holidays “Villa Vittoria” you will have your breakfast in the dining room socializing with the owners and with other guests, enjoying the homemade cakes and sweets.
From the kitchen you will be served home-made pasta and home-made bread baked in a wood oven, jams of fruit, appetizers of artichokes, wild the oil and wine of own production.
Our meals are filtered out by the simplicity of the peasant with recipes related to the local culture, using products that daily arrive from theorganic garden cultivated by the Pope' Agazio, prepared by Mamma Vittoria , who has a great experience in the kitchen and in the storage of products through the old techniques of farming.
Swimming pool in the garden of citrus fruits
After a morning at the sea or after returning from an excursion, relax around the swimming pool of the orange trees in the park of citrus fruits, fully privatized and surrounded by a dense forest of citrus. Open from April to October is furnished with lounges, chairs and umbrellas. Can be visited also during the night, enveloped by the whiteness of the moon under a sky beautifully starry.
The tank measuring 6x12 meters and is equipped with a shower with hot water produced by solar energy.
From the kitchen can be served fresh and original drink of the house.
Children's playground
In the citrus garden is the playground for children, completely surrounded by green lawn, the children will be in contact with the true nature, being able to make important new discoveries related to the rural world. Nearby there is the pool and a few metres of the river Assi , where the children can bathe in the beautiful clear waters that come directly from the mountains of the Serre Calabre. A tour to the "Masseria Torre Zuvino" will immerse families into a world of ancient rural life, where you can observe the animals of the masseria, the old factories for the oil and the wine, theancient watchtower and the massive hydraulic structures that brought water from the river to the water wheel. Olive groves, citrus orchards and vineyards shall be drunken with the passseggita towards the farmhouse.

Park Rural "Masseria Torre Zuvinu"
A bit of history
The fund Zuin, evolved over the centuries, suffering all the historical events, economic and social that have followed, as well as natural events.
The oldest part is definitely the tower of sight, for the control of the saracens who landed in the nearby beaches of the Ionian sea, around you added patios, barns, housing for apprentices and employees, furnaces, mills, stables, premises for the milling of olives and grapes.
All this was certainly possible since the agglomeration was in a very favorable position both for roads and for the proximity to the fiumara Assi, the latter, one of the most important watercourses in the area.
Later were added other manufactured housing, related to the needs of the “master” to move to the countryside periodically.
The vast olive grovesin the area, led to the construction of the great mill, first operated by water power, and then, in 1924, the hydraulic turbine. The flood of 1951, put on his knees the economy of the place, and Zuin suffered damage to crops and the hydraulic structures that were never rebuilt, because no longer necessary as their function is performed by the electric current.
It has recently been recovered in the historical archives of the firm Truth of Florence, the original design of the mill Zuin, which indicates the changes undergone by the complex, and all the machines that were present.
During the visit to the "Masseria Torre Zuvino", you can visit the plantations of olive groves, vineyards and citrus groves, the museum of the farm and of wine, the ancient watchtower, the hydraulic structures that brought water to gardens, mills, stables, and mills.
A visit to the animals of the farm
In the park you can also visit the animals of the farm that are so much loved by families with children. Goats, rabbits, pigs, geese, or hens roam freely in the courtyard of the stables waiting for someone tosses something to eat.
Educational farm
And since 2006, our company is structured for the activities of the Educational Farm, addressed to schools of every order and degree, but also to families who wish to deepen or re-establish the relationship with nature. In our company are active in different courses and laboratory activities related to the themes chosen. During the tour you can visit all the facilities of the masseria, pistachio, being able to do a direct comparison on the ancient and modern techniques of cultivation , and not only.
In our SCHOOL IN the MASSERIA there are classrooms, outdoor spaces, canopies and all of the services necessary for the conduct of the activity addressed to the with disabilities.
Museum of the Masseria
l the heart of the "rural Park of the Zuvinu" is the "Museum of the Masseria", housed in the old premises of the "trappeto alla Genovese", and then a museum within a museum.
The whole of the farm is an outdoor exhibition, with its hydraulic structures that led the water of the river to the water wheel of the mill, with its depots, storehouses, houses of lords and apprentices, with its austere tower of sight, but a location had to find all the utensils of daily life, with all of the tools for working in the fields, and not only that, after years of oblivion, thanks to the work of the recovery of our employees and some volunteers, have found a new way to make themselves useful, in fact, after a long and careful restoration work, today they evoke, the visitor, old stories made to work in the fields in direct contact with the nature, in symbiosis with it.
The museum of the wine
In 2017, we opened the winery and Wine Museum, these premises will be made and preserved our wines , but will also be showcased all the old tools of the harvest , and will be told the ancient methods of winemaking.
The beach
A few km from us you will find our private beach, characterized by a magnificent white sand in contrast with the green of the pine forest where you'll find many services, a bar, a small library, showers, hammocks, and not only, on the shore of the sea, comfortable sun loungers, parasols and entertainment activities.
